Our coffee farm “Finca Cafetera la Abundancia” is conveniently located along Salento’s famous coffee trail, just 5 km from Salento town. You can easily reach us by walking, taking a Willys Jeep, horseback riding, or driving. For detailed directions, read our guide here.

Next, we venture into the fields to observe the coffee plants up close. During the tour, you enjoy sampling various types of fruit. We also gather coffee together, providing you with a basket, poncho, and hat for an authentic farm experience!
We walk across the entire farm and make our way to the beautiful bamboo trail, where a brief storytelling session unfolds, sharing tales about guadua and bamboo.
Now, we’ll stroll to the riverbank for a demonstration of coffee filtering right by the water’s edge. We take pride in offering this exclusive river-side experience, available only at our farm.
We proceed further along our journey to explore the complete coffee farming process. Here, we provide a firsthand look at where the coffee cherries are meticulously washed and carefully dried. It’s an opportunity to witness the crucial stages that ensure the beans achieve their optimal flavor and quality before they move on to the next steps in our coffee-making journey.
Finally, we conclude by demonstrating the grinding, roasting, and brewing of coffee. Participants will experience the entire journey from farm to cup, gaining insight into each step of the process that transforms coffee beans into a delightful beverage.

The cost of a private ride to our farm is approximately 4,000 COP each way. Make sure to arrange your jeep at least 30 minutes before your tour time to ensure a timely arrival. Getting back is also easy; just wait at the front of our farm. The jeeps drive by every couple of minutes, so simply put your hand out and hop in for a ride back to Salento square. - Walking
For those who enjoy a leisurely walk, our coffee farm is about an hour’s walk (5 km) from the town of Salento. This scenic route, a popular and safe path among tourists and locals alike, takes you along the beautiful coffee trail, surrounded by lush coffee plantations and stunning landscapes. As you walk, you’ll be immersed in the sights and sounds of the coffee region, making the journey a delightful part of your visit. Alternatively, you can walk to the main square of Salento to hire a private Willy Jeep. The cost for a private Willys Jeep to the farm is approximately 35,000 COP each way, accommodating up to 10 people. Make sure to arrange your transportation at least one hour before your tour time to ensure a smooth and timely arrival.
